Straight away i was loving it, this stuff is what i have heard being called 'Beatdown' Hardcore, so i guess thats what it is? Becuase it makes me want to beatdown haha!

This shit is full of breakdowns, chugs and slams. This stuff is alot like the band Demolisher, who might i add are beast in every way, shape and form.

While this wont be great for everyone, i think anyone with a taste for good Deathcore, Hardcore and Metalcore will really dig these guys.

Where do I begin? This band is absolutely incredible. Life In Your Way began in 1999 and ended their run in 2008. They remained a Christian band in that time and tackled tours with industry giants like Burden of a Day, As Cities Burn, and Once Nothing while playing out festivals like Cornerstone and Redemption Fest. For their last tour ever, LIYW hit the road with the likes of Once Nothing and This Nights Alive. They disbanded on good terms, feeling as though it is time to finish. One of their last tours will remain in history as they took the headlining spot with For Today, Means, Burden of a Day, and In Fear and Faith. The band power through three labels before signing comfortably to Solid State Records (August Burns Red, Oh, Sleeper, Norma Jean).
As for the album, it jumps off with "Reach the End", a true melodic hardcore epic, with absolutely gorgeous crooning vocals in the beautiful outro. As the album carries on, we hear the likes of "Making Waves", a metalcore beauty with a badass southern twang behind peaceful clean vocals. The true beauty of Waking Giants is nestled at track six. "Salty Grave" brings forth a spectacle of driving metalcore, wrapped around progressive Misery Signals-esque drumming, and powering into an outro, holding the slow, beautiful death at sea, capturing the last moments of life before death and casting out to an almighty God. The conclusion of Waking Giants a two-and-a-half minute harmonizing, tear-jerking, sound-off marking LIYW's final studio album before their demise. LIYW will forever remain an influence to aspiring metalcore musicians and young Christians alike. Life In Your Way is a band I'll definitely show my kids and grand kids.

Italic - Essential Track

Bringing forth melody and mixing it with a fast-paced true hardcore music is not uncommon these days. However, nobody seems to deliver better then Saints Never Surrender. Even though they recently disbanded, the mark of SNS is eternal. And what better to send-off to then "Brutus"? Released in summer of 2008, "Brutus" is less of a CD and more of a saga. The album begins with a soft acoustic instrumental entitled, "Swan", before swiftly blasting-off into a cavalcade of gang-vocals and a very beautiful guitar lead making "This Moment" the beauty that it is. The album continues with tracks that make you either want to move, shout, or just shed a tear. "Brutus" has a number of tracks that catch your ear because of their sheer originality but mainly for their "close-to-home" reminiscence. My personal favorite song on "Brutus" is hand down "The End to the Epic". This is my favorite because it demonstrates everything that SNS stands for and an insight to their final times as a band. It has an epic sound and don't fail to make you tap along. The guitar work is hands down the most remarkable on the album. The vocal can be a bit sketchy at times but at the end of the day, that's what makes SNS so original. The album concludes with "The Quest", a ten-and-a-half-minute epic that never lets you forget "Brutus" and how truly beautiful the album is as a whole. An overall keeper.

If you don't know who Craig Owens is, he is the lead singer in the Bands, Chiodos and Cinematic Sunrise. With Love is his first solo Ep and was released on Sept. 15th, 2009. Now if you're a fan of Chiodos or Cinematic Sunrise you might not like this Ep. It's a lot slower and more acoustic based with very heartfelt and emotional lyrics. Truthfully I don't think this Ep shows off Craigs vocal ability that well. This does not mean i didn't enjoy the Ep it was very relaxing to listen to.If you're a fan of his other work I recommend try out this album and even if you're not give it a try you might like it.
